A Sino-Germany economic and trade event was held on Aug 12 in Qingdao, Shandong province.
The event is the first of its kind that has been held in Qingdao since the outbreak of COVID-19. It was jointly held by the Qingdao-Germany International Business Club and the German Chambers of Commerce Worldwide Network (AHK).

Representatives from more than 40 German enterprises and institutions from Shandong province, Beijing, Shanghai, and other regions participated in the event.
In a number of speeches, guests praised cooperation between China and Germany in recent years and discussed the important role played by Qingdao in travel between China and Germany.
Participants also discussed China-Germany relations, the current economic situation, the development of enterprises, project cooperation, and more.
China has opened a fast lane for important business, logistics, production, technical and service personnel with Germany to accelerate reopening and ensure the stability of global supply and industrial chains amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since the introduction of the fast lane, the AHK has organized five chartered flights to facilitate the return of German business people to their workplaces and homes in China.
Three of the flights landed in Qingdao, and the Qingdao government has facilitated quarantine measures and dealt with other issues related to the return of these German business people.
The Qingdao-Germany International Business Club also offered on-site support and helped more than 800 guests from Germany return to their destinations in China after quarantine.
