The province of Shandong has been working to improve its business environment with targeted new measures and enhance the implementation of reform policies, said local officials.
In recent years, Shandong has continued to streamline its administration and delegate power. This year alone, 720 items of provincial-level administrative procedures were delegated to cities and some functional areas.
Shandong has further promoted the "all-in-one online service", allowing over 90 percent of government affairs to be handled online.
Since its launch in May, the provincial platform for enterprise demands has received more than 43,000 appeals from local companies, with the satisfaction rate of handling results kept above 90 percent.
The approval process of construction projects has also been optimized. At present, the number of approval items for construction projects has been reduced from 112 to 73. Only one online form is required to be filled out for each of the four stages involved.
"The approval time for engineering construction projects shall not exceed 100 working days at most, and the approval time of simple and low-risk projects shall not exceed 20 working days," said an official from the Shandong Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development.
In the first three quarters of this year, Shandong achieved more than 132.9 billion yuan ($20.36 billion) in tax and fee reductions. Total tax and fee reductions for the year are expected to hit 185 billion yuan.
