Shandong’s total import and export value exceeds 2 trillion yuan in the first three quarters

According to a press conference held by the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government on the afternoon of October 18, customs statistics show that Shandong’s total import and export value in the first three quarters of 2021 reached 2.12 trillion yuan, an increase of 36.8% over the same period last year and an increase of 41.9% over the same period in 2019.

The total export value was 1.23 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.3% and an increase of 52.0% over the same period in 2019; the total import value was 885.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.4% and an increase of 29.8% over the same period in 2019. Shandong ranks first among the top six major provinces and cities of foreign trade in terms of the growth rate of import, export, and export and import.

In September, Shandong’s import and export value amounted to 268.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%, a record high. The export value was 169.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.4%, a record high; and the import value was 99.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%.
