Recently, the "Qilu" China-Europe freight train (Yantai-Central Asia), loaded with machinery and equipment, tires, combined polyether and other export commodities, slowly departed from Yantai station. This is the first freight train from Yantai to five Central Asian countries this year, which will deliver various goods produced by Yantai enterprises to five Central Asian countries.
Various unstable factors in international logistics have emerged since the pandemic, with air freight and ocean shipping being disrupted, and enterprises' imports and exports being affected. To ensure the stability of the supply chain of international trade has become an urgent issue to be settled.
Therefore, the China-Europe freight train has become the highlight of international logistics along the route of the "Belt and Road Initiative", which has not only maintained a good momentum, but also continuously improved its operations, ensuring the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chains.
Last year, Yantai Customs formulated and issued "28 Measures to Support the High-quality Development of Yantai's Export-oriented Economy". Supporting the development of the China-Europe freight train has become an integral part of helping Yantai to accelerate the building of a new high ground for opening up and assist in the development of foreign trade. In response, Xu Chengliang, the manager of Qingdao Branch of Shandong Hi-Speed Qilu Eurasia Railway Logistics Co., Ltd., which is the operator of Yantai-Central Asia Train, said, "The Central Asia Train mainly focuses on the goods of local enterprises in Yantai. We will continue to pay more attention to local enterprises in the future, shorten the shipping cycle of clients as much as possible, and provide stable, reliable and convenient freight shipping services for enterprises."
