On the morning of October 28, the conference for launching the SCO Digital Base and founding the SCO Computing Power Alliance was held in Qingdao Sports Center. Academicians, experts, industry pioneers and entrepreneurs from the digital economy and computing power fields gathered to discuss about digital transition and revolution.
At the conference, the SCO Computing Power Alliance was officially founded. As planned, Jiaozhou City will join hands with the Cloud Computing Industrial Park in Karamay, Xinjiang, and coordinate the computing power resources that leading enterprises like China Mobile and China Unicom have deployed along the Belt and Road and the Yellow River. In this way, the SCO Computing Power Alliance can be jointly established with the SCO Digital Base as its core. Moreover, the Alliance will build a pilot zone for big data cooperation and innovation among the SCO member states, boost the coordination and intensive application of computing power resources, promote two-way opening up with links running eastward and westward over land and sea, and cultivate a digital ecosystem for the SCO Digital Base.
As noted by Liu Tao, deputy major of Jiaozhou, with the help of the Digital Base and the Alliance platform, the SCO Computing Power Alliance will support the SCO member states and countries along the Belt and Road with multi-dimension computing power and algorithms, realize multi-sector data sharing, and create an ecosphere where computing power industries of countries and regions along the Belt and Road can achieve integrated development.
