“Measures for the Improvement of China’s Integrated Freight Hubs in the Jinan-Linyi City Cluster” has recently passed the national evaluation. Ranking among the first cities working for the improvement of the country’s integrated freight hubs, Jinan and Linyi will get a national subsidy of RMB 3 billion for the implementation of projects that serve the improvement goal.
Based on the standards for China’s comprehensive transport network and requirements for the construction of the Shandong Demonstration Zone project for developing China’s transportation strength, Jinan and Linyi will join hands to improve the country’s integrated freight hubs, promote their coordinated and complementary development, perfect the national and international three level logistics channel, and implement the plan for “improving integrated freight hubs, accelerating coordinated development, expanding logistics channels and constructing transportation junctions.” As planned, they will build 12 integrated freight hub clusters classified into rail-water, air-land and road-rail hubs, newly construct and reconstruct 75.1 kilometers of collection and distribution railways and 4.47 million square meters of integrated freight hubs, upgrade 2,348 sets of equipment, and raise the average annual growth rate of multimodal transport volume to 13%, so as to provide strong support for high-quality social and economic development and safe and smooth industrial and supply chains.
