On February 16, the first "China + Five Central Asian Countries" Industrial and Investment Cooperation Forum opened at Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition Center. President Xi Jinping sent congratulations to the forum. More than 300 representatives of relevant government departments, research institutions, experts, associations and enterprises from China and the five Central Asian countries attended the meeting, engaged in negotiations and exchanges on important topics in order to build an industrial and investment cooperation platform for all parties in China and the five Central Asian countries.
He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended the meeting via video, conveyed congratulations from President Xi Jinping and delivered a speech. Xi Jinping pointed out that China and the five Central Asian countries have established strategic partnership for more than 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, which have established a new path with friendly neighborhood and win-win cooperation and a new paradigm for international relations. Deepening industry and investment cooperation between China and the five countries of Central Asia will be conducive to safeguarding the stability of regional industrial and supply chains, promoting regional industrial development, increasing engagement in world's economic activities, and boosting common prosperity. China is willing to share with the Central Asian countries the super-large market, complete industrial system and advanced technologies, deepen pragmatic cooperation, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, work together to promote high-quality development of regional economy, and build a closer community with a shared future.
