Recently, the General Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province issued the Notice on Several Measures to Promote the Integrated Development of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Continue to Build a New Leading Area for Opening-up, to ensure that domestic and foreign trade can realize integrated development, internal and external circulations can enhance each other, and supply and demand can be synergized.

As per the document, Shandong will strengthen the ability of market entities in integrated development. Specifically, Shandong will strengthen enterprises that adopt new forms of foreign trade, and strive to achieve an average annual import and export growth rate of more than 10% in cross-border e-commerce through measures such as carrying out capacity expansion actions in cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones and improving the functions of comprehensive service platforms for overseas warehouses; promote the upgrading of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, advance the integrated development of them and new forms of foreign trade such as cross-border e-commerce, public overseas warehouses and international logistics nodes, enhance their role in driving the development of surrounding regions, and strive to increase the cumulative export value of domestic goods to more than 50 billion yuan within three years; expand the influence of "Handmade in Shandong" brands, and build more than 50 well-known "Handmade in Shandong" brands in China within three years; cultivate a batch of benchmarking enterprises for the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade through accelerating the formulation of selection standards for "High-quality Products in Shandong", supporting foreign trade enterprises to strengthen their own brand building, and other measures.
