In the first three months of this year, the "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA) saw a total of 203 trips. During the period, special supply chain trains were launched for key enterprises such as Haier, Hisense, and Chery's factory in Qingdao. Meanwhile, special trains for cross-border e-commerce and cold chains also maintained normal operation. All these prove that the "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains have got off to a good start in the first quarter.
As a major logistics channel for smooth international economic and trade exchanges in the SCODA, the "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains have seen a constant increase both in the numbers of trips and routes since the service started. On March 16 this year, the first China-Europe freight train (from Shandong, China to Dong Nai, Vietnam) of the SCODA arrived in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, which has further expanded the railway logistics channels of RCEP member countries and strengthened the guarantee for international logistics services. Up to now, the SCODA has operated 30 domestic and international trains on a regular basis, reaching 54 cities in 23 countries in the SCO region and along the Belt and Road.
In addition, the categories of the commodities transported by the "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains have been diversifying, ranging from traditional ones such as household appliances, clothing, shoes, and hats to high value-added products such as electronic devices, mechanical equipment, and new energy vehicles. Therefore, the "Qilu" China-Europe freight trains have provided an effective guarantee for smooth international supply chains and industrial chains.
