In recent years, Shandong Province has constantly strengthened innovation throughout the process of "introducing, cultivating, retaining, using and serving" postdoctoral talents which it has always taken as a strategic talent resource. Now, a number of high-level innovative young backbone talents have been developed.
Up to now, 153 research stations, 378 workstations, and 470 provincial innovative practice bases have been set up in the province for postdoctoral talents, recruiting a cumulative total of more than 15,000 postdoctoral talents. Now, the number of postdoctoral talents in these stations and bases has exceeded 6,000.
Next, Shandong will formulate and introduce measures to strengthen and improve its work for postdoctoral talents in the new era. Focusing on the whole process of "introducing, cultivating, retaining, using and serving" postdoctoral talents, Shandong will introduce the best policies to help young talents grow into leading talents; improve the resource sharing mechanism for joint postdoctoral recruitment and introduction, steadily increase the quantity and effectively improve the quality of postdoctoral talents, and make new progress in postdoctoral research positions; give full play to the main role of cooperative tutors in postdoctoral talent training, assessment, retention and other links, stress the main responsibility of organizations where relevant stations are established in developing a working system for comprehensive training and personalized development of postdoctoral talents, and enhance the overall effectiveness of relevant work.
