In this connection, promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries is of great significance to the province's high-quality development. Aiming at green, intelligent, and high-end development, Shandong has made comprehensive efforts to transform and upgrade traditional industries to create new space for and inject new momentum into their development.
In recent years, Shandong has deeply implemented the action of building a green manufacturing system and actively promoted the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. By the end of 2022, 567 projects in the province were included in the green manufacturing list published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, including 223 green factories. Next, Shandong will beef up efforts to cultivate and increase role models for green and low-carbon development. By 2025, 500 green factories and 20 green industrial parks will be built.
Digital transformation is the key to creating new development drivers and advantages. For this reason, Shandong has accelerated the development of the digital economy and promoted the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. Thanks to these efforts, a national demonstration area for the development of the industrial Internet is successfully built and the number of state-level platforms ranks first in China; the integration development index that measures industrial sector and information technology integration is 117.1, ranking second in China; the industrial digitization index is 80.3, ranking first in China.
