On August 30, the Promotion Seminar (Shanghai) on Building a Leading Modern Marine City was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, a total of 14 key marine projects were signed, with a planned total investment of 12.7 billion yuan. These projects cover various fields, including seafood processing, marine equipment, marine environmental protection, shipping services, marine cultural tourism, and smart ocean.
Shanghai is an important partner for Qingdao, with four projects signed, concerning ship and marine equipment, as well as shipping logistics. The shipping services offered have distinctive features. The project of an intelligent supporting industrial base for offshore oil and gas drilling platforms, with a planned total investment of 1 billion yuan, aims to create a comprehensive base that integrates the intelligent manufacturing of supporting equipment for offshore oil and gas drilling platforms, intelligent operation and maintenance support, and original R&D platform for marine engineering technology innovation. Among the signed projects, there are several leading demonstration projects with a large investment scale and a strong driving force. One example is the Aoshan Bay Marine Tourism Project, with a planned total investment of 3.2 billion yuan. It covers various business formats such as specialty restaurants, guesthouses, parks, and hotels. The project aims to create the most beautiful coastal tourism road and a leisure tourism destination in Qingdao. After completion, the annual comprehensive tourism revenue is expected to reach 1 billion yuan.
