Shandong Provincial Working Conference on High-quality Development of Digital Economy Held

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Working Conference on High-quality Development of Digital Economy was held in Jinan. Lin Wu, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, attended and addressed the conference. Lin Wu emphasized that focus should be put on digital industrialization so as to comprehensively enhance the core competitiveness for developing the digital economy; the guiding role of the new-generation information technology industry should be maximized to drive the overall coordinated development of the digital industry; the cluster-, park-, and project-based concepts should be adopted to strengthen a batch of key enterprises, implement a batch of major projects, and build a batch of key parks.

Besides, a concentrated effort should be made to bring the roles of leaders into full play and build strong leading zones for the development of the digital economy in Jinan and Qingdao. Specifically, Jinan should improve its reputation as a famous Chinese software city, strengthen the electronic information manufacturing industry, and accelerate planning and developing emerging industries such as information technology application innovation, aerospace information, quantum information, and network security; Qingdao should focus on developing the integrated circuit industry, consolidate and expand its advantages in digital terminals, new-type displays, virtual reality and industrial Internet, and broaden the future development space of the industry; other cities should scientifically plan the digital industry and build digital industrial clusters based on their respective foundation and advantages. Meanwhile, efforts should be made to strengthen competitive industries, accelerate the implementation of the projects to improve chips for integrated circuits, enhance core competitiveness for high-end software, consolidate industrial chains for advanced computing, increase production for digital terminals, facilitate empowerment for artificial intelligence, improve quality for virtual reality, boost development for aerospace information, advance big data integration for cloud services, gather momentum for energy electronics, and integrate industrial chains for new electronic materials.
