NDRC Establishes Private Economic Development Bureau to Support Development of Private Economy

September 4, the official from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced at a press conference held by the State Council that the State Commission Office of Public Sectors Reform has officially approved the establishment of the Private Economic Development Bureau under NDRC. This bureau, as a specialized organ for the promotion of the private economy, will strengthen overall policy coordination in related fields and ensure the effective implementation of major measures with fruitful outcomes.

It is reported that this bureau is responsible for tracking, studying, and analyzing the development of the private economy, coordinating and organizing the formulation of policies and measures to promote its growth, and formulating policies to encourage private investment. In addition, the bureau will establish a mechanism for regular communication with private enterprises, coordinate efforts to solve major issues concerning the development of the private economy, and support the private economy in enhancing its international competitiveness.
