Recently, the 2023 Zaozhuang International Lithium Battery Industry Expo was held in Shandong Province. Zhang Hongwei, Secretary of the CPC Zaozhuang Municipal Committee, delivered a speech titled "Together Develop Zaozhuang's Lithium Battery Industry and Pursue a Win-win Future" at the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Zhang pointed out that in recent years, authorities at all levels in Zaozhuang City have actively integrated into and served the national "dual carbon" strategy and always given top priority to the lithium battery industry to promote urban transformation and development. Specifically, positive efforts have been made to continuously optimize available resources, increase high-quality resources, and stimulate variable resources; shape competitive advantages with sci-tech innovation, stimulate growth momentum with effective investment and create market space with marketing reform; cultivate a lithium battery industrial cluster worth more than 100 billion yuan and accelerate the replacement of underground energy by aboveground energy, black energy by green energy, and traditional energy by emerging energy. Thus, Zaozhuang strives to build itself into a famous new energy battery city in China.

In addition, Zaozhuang will take advantage of the Expo to further deepen cooperation with Uruguay in lithium mining, electric transportation, clean energy, and other fields, so as to together take bilateral friendly exchanges to a new level.
