China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Director Association recently unveiled the "2023 Top 500 Chinese Enterprises". A total of 53 Shandong enterprises were listed, an increase of three companies compared to last year, ranking third in China. Among the Shandong enterprises on the list, 17 enterprises are state owned and 36 private, of which 17 enterprises achieved an operating revenue of more than RMB 100 billion.
In recent years, Shandong has intensified efforts to strengthen platform support, promote integrated development, deepen intelligent transformation and digital reform, and improve the development capabilities of enterprises. On one hand, Shandong has persistently promoted the concentration of high-quality resources in advantageous industries and characteristic sectors and vigorously implemented strategic restructuring. These efforts have enabled Shandong to a number of influential industrial clusters, contributing to the rapid growth of related enterprises in terms of scale and strength, as well as the generation of synergistic effects. On the other hand, with the implementation of the chain leader system, leading enterprises have strengthened collaborative innovation and supported cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses, further enhancing their role in driving the entire industrial chain.
