The International Symposium on Environment, Development and Human Rights: Marine Ecological Protection in the Process of Modernization will be held in Beijing on September 26. From September 22 to 25, representatives of foreign guests from more than 10 countries visited Qingdao to learn about China's experience in marine ecological environment governance through field investigations and discussions.
What can seaweed extract do? When visiting Shandong Qingdao Bright Moon Seaweed Group (BMSG), the representatives were deeply attracted by the mysterious "seaweed tribe". To maximize the value of seaweeds, BMSG has focused on the in-depth development and application of active seaweed substances and developed itself into a strong enterprise with a marine economy that is worth more than 10 billion yuan and supported by seven business sectors including the seaweed functional raw material industry and the marine medicine industry.
"Through this visit to Qingdao, I saw not only the beauty of this city but also learned more about China's industrial development in the 'seaweed base'. It was remarkable," said Robert Walker, an academician of the Royal Academy of Social Sciences of the UK and a foreign professor at Beijing Normal University.
