On October 10, Lin Wu, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, met with Kuniharu Nakamura, CEO of Japan's Sumitomo Corporation, and his delegation when they attended the Fourth Qingdao Multinationals Summit in Qingdao.

During the meeting, Lin Wu briefly introduced the economic and social development of Shandong. According to him, Shandong is working to accelerate the construction of a green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot zone, develop the digital economy, speed up energy transformation, and pursue greater development in electric passenger cars, lithium batteries, solar cells, and strategic emerging industries. He stressed that this has provided a broad platform for multinational companies like Sumitomo Corporation to invest in Shandong. Then he expressed his hope that Sumitomo Corporation and Shandong will further deepen cooperation in medical care and health, intelligent transportation, sewage treatment, modern efficient agriculture, cross-border e-commerce, and other fields, and attract a number of new and high-quality projects to Shandong.

Kuniharu Nakamura said that it has been four years since his last visit to Shandong and he was very pleased to see Shandong make constant achievements in development and Sumitomo Corporation's investment projects in Shandong progress well. Meanwhile, he also hoped that Sumitomo Corporation and Shandong could deepen cooperation in environmental infrastructure, expand cooperation in comprehensive urban development, hydrogen energy, and other fields, and strive for mutual benefits and win-win results.
