Recently, the 134th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) kicked off in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. According to the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, for this year's Canton Fair, Shandong has organized three trade delegations, i.e. Shandong Province, Jinan City, and Qingdao City, with the total of enterprise exhibitors reaching 2,954. Specifically, 939 are for Phase 1, 964 for Phase 2, and 1,051 for Phase 3. By exhibition booths, Shandong's enterprise exhibitors have set up a total of 4,833 booths, of which there are 875 brand booths and 3,962 general booths. Among all the enterprise exhibitors of Shandong, 392 or 20% have participated in the Canton Fair for the first time.

So far, the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) has been held for 133 consecutive sessions since 1957. This year's event will be held in three phases and see a record-breaking scale. The total exhibition area has increased to 1.55 million square meters and the total number of exhibition booths has reached 74,000, including 72,000 for the export exhibition and 1,550 for the import exhibition. According to the statistics of different phases and exhibition areas, the total number of enterprise exhibitors has hit 28,533, of which 27,883 are for the export exhibition and 650 for the import exhibition from 43 countries and regions; the number of registered purchasers has reached 150,000, with those from Europe up by 19.1%, those from the Belt and Road countries up by 33.6%, and those from the RCEP countries up by 21.3%.
