Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province issued the Announcement on the List of the Seventh Batch of Enterprises to Be Recognized as Single Champions in the Manufacturing Industry in Shandong Province. A total of 353 enterprises land on the list, including Shandong Huaguang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. Specifically, 46 enterprises are from Weifang, ranking first among Shandong's cities; Weifang is followed by Jinan and Qingdao, with each having 34 enterprises on the list.

Across Shandong, a total of 186 enterprises have been recognized as national single champions in the manufacturing industry and 691 enterprises as provincial single champions in the manufacturing industry in six bathes. Specifically, in 2017, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province announced the list of the first batch of enterprises recognized as single champions in the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province, and a total of 79 enterprises landed on the list; in 2021, a total of 106 enterprises were recognized as the fifth batch of provincial single champions in the manufacturing industry; in 2022, a total of 194 enterprises were recognized as the sixth batch of provincial single champions in the manufacturing industry.

According to the plan of Shandong Province to enhance its strength in advanced manufacturing, by 2025, there will be about 1,000 enterprises recognized as single champions in the manufacturing industry at the provincial level and above.
