With 54 Companies Recognized as National Quality Benchmarks, Shandong Leading the Country in Quantity

During a press conference held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province on November 21, it was revealed that the added value of industrial sectors above the designated size in Shandong had grown by 6.9% year-on-year from January to October 2023. This growth rate surpassed the national average by 2.8 percentage points, securing the province's position as the second highest among the top ten industrial provinces in terms of growth rate. Generally, Shandong has managed to maintain a relatively high growth rate in recent years.

During the first half of this year, 31 of Shandong's 41 major industrial categories showed positive growth in terms of added value, which means Shandong had 5 more major industrial categories with positive added value growth than the national average. The output growth of key products has been accelerating. The rapid development of new energy vehicles in Shandong is worth particular attention, with an impressive output of 194,000 new energy vehicles in the first half of this year.

Currently, Shandong has a cumulative total of 54 enterprises recognized as national quality benchmarks, leading the country in terms of quantity. Besides, the province has established 297 provincial quality benchmarks. Additionally, 26 brands from Shandong have been listed among the "2023 China's Top 500 Most Valuable Brands". Moreover, Shandong has successfully created three national-level clusters of advanced manufacturing industries and seven characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized businesses. Furthermore, Shandong has introduced a three-year action plan to enhance manufacturing innovation capabilities. In the first half of this year, the province facilitated the implementation of 1,765 provincial-level enterprise technology innovation projects.
