Recently, the Shandong Development and Reform Commission announced the 2023 list of reserve projects for major industrial breakthroughs as a part of Shandong's endeavor to replace old growth drivers with new ones. A total of 66 projects including the CGN Zhaoyuan Nuclear Power Project (Phase I) landed on the list.
These 66 projects cover key fields such as "top ten" industries, energy conservation and environmental protection, with a planned total investment of 115.85 billion yuan and an average single investment of 1.76 billion yuan. This list comes as a significant achievement in Shandong's endeavor of replacing old growth drivers with new ones and is also in line with the direction of Shandong's construction of a green, low-carbon, and high-quality development pilot zone. It will play an important guiding and exemplary role in the construction of key projects in the province.
These 66 projects will focus on supporting major technological breakthroughs. Specifically, 42 are designed as guiding and representative projects to develop strengths and strengthen weaknesses in key fields, accounting for 63.6% of the total; 10 are identified as innovative business form and model projects to highlight and encourage the innovation of major business forms and models, covering such new business forms and models as integrated online education, Internet healthcare, industrial platform development, intelligent manufacturing, and personalized customization.
