Top 100 List by the Urban Social Development Index in China in the New Era Released Shandong’s Ten Cities Land on the List

Recently, the "Urban Social Development Index in China in the New Era and Top 100 List (2023)" was released. Shandong's ten cities landed on the list.

Of the ten cities, Jinan ranked 15th, Qingdao 19th, Yantai 53rd, Dongying 55th, Zibo 56th, Weihai 65th, Weifang 67th, Rizhao 82nd, Jining 90th and Tai'an 91st.

Specifically, the top 100 cities are divided into four levels: A++ (1-10), A+ (11-30), A (31-60) and A- (61-100). The 2023 urban social development indicator system is comprised of 7 first-level indicators and 47 second-level indicators to comprehensively evaluate the social development of 297 cities above the prefecture level from multiple aspects. The first-level indicators are economic development and welfare construction, population development and social potential, ecological civilization and environmental governance, social governance and social services, cultural education and sci-tech innovation, public medical care and resident health, and social security and social assistance.
