Recently, the China Satellite Navigation Office held an acceptance meeting for Shandong Province's BeiDou integrated application demonstration project in Beijing. The project passed the acceptance successfully. It is said that the project is among the first batch of major civil demonstration projects approved for implementation after the establishment and operation of the BeiDou-3 global navigation satellite system.
The project, undertaken by the Shandong Institute of Industry and Information Technology as the general contractor, has completed the upgrading and transformation of Shandong Province's digital infrastructure BeiDou demonstration platform, achieved application demonstration in four fields including deep-sea aquaculture and pelagic monitoring, supply chain management and transportation services of free trade zones, intelligent management of special goods, and BeiDou anti-spoofing timing, formed eight standards and specifications, promoted and deployed 55,600 units (sets) of BeiDou terminals, over-fulfilled the targets, and achieved good demonstration effects.
It is said that subsequently, Shandong will give full play to the demonstration and leadership role of the project, accelerate the development of the aerospace information industry represented by BeiDou, deepen the application of BeiDou in key industries, and strive to form new advantages and highlights.
