On February 18, the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Shandong Provincial People's Government held the Shandong Provincial High-level Opening-up and High-quality Investment Attraction Conference in Jinan. Lin Wu, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Lin Wu pointed out in his speech that efforts should be made to establish a new hub for opening-up, actively explore new markets, solidify the foundation of foreign trade, and cultivate new growth drivers for foreign trade. It is necessary to focus on serving and integrating into the unified national market to continuously deepen domestic opening-up.

Lin Wu stressed that to create a new pattern of high-level opening-up, it is necessary to establish major channels for connectivity, set up large platforms for pilot projects, cultivate major industries for internal guidance and external exchanges, and shape an open and inclusive environment. Besides, efforts should be made to establish efficient interconnection channels, accelerate the upgrading of maritime ports, cultivate aviation hubs, improve the China-Europe Railway Express, and develop inland waterway transportation. In addition, efforts should be made to foster an industrial ecosystem featuring a high degree of integration, boost high-quality market entities, strengthen the integration and consolidation of industrial chains, and facilitate the development of industrial clusters. Furthermore, it is necessary to carefully select fields for investment attraction, focusing on the digital economy, advanced manufacturing, energy transformation, electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and solar cells, as well as other fields.
