On March 28, the CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center released the CCID Top 100 Innovation Districts (2024), which comprehensively evaluated the innovation capability of cities and districts in China (excluding municipalities directly under the central government, national-level new areas, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan Province). Four places in Shandong were selected, namely, the Lixia District of Jinan City, the Chengyang District of Qingdao City, the Licheng District of Jinan City, and the Zhifu District of Yantai City.
In the CCID Top 100 Innovation Districts (2024), there are 146,000 high-tech enterprises, showing an increase of 16.8% compared with the previous year. There are 2,959 specialized, fined, peculiar, and new "little giant" enterprises, showing an increase of 63.1% compared with the previous year. Innovation entities are thriving, with outstanding results in cultivation and agglomeration. In the future, districts with strong strength in innovation will continue to uphold the major role of enterprises in innovation, guide enterprises to enhance their sci-tech innovation capabilities, establish a sound gradient cultivation system, and promote sci-tech enterprises to become larger, better, and stronger.
