By the end of last year, Shandong Province had successfully established seven national-level strategic emerging industrial clusters, securing its position as the leading province in China. Additionally, the province has nurtured 25 provincial-level strategic emerging industrial clusters, forming a comprehensive development model characterized by "industry + supporting enterprises, platform + ecosystem, technology + empowerment". The total scale of 32 strategic emerging industry clusters at the provincial level and above has exceeded 2.8 trillion yuan, with 10 clusters reaching the level of 100 billion yuan. These clusters have stimulated the growth of over 20,000 upstream and downstream supporting and related enterprises.

With the accelerated progress of projects such as the Hexagon Dongying Intelligence Empowerment Center and Tencent Cloud Northern Base, the scale and industrial agglomeration of the digital economy in Dongying have significantly increased. Currently, Shandong Province continues to accumulate advantages in new growth drivers, particularly in intelligent manufacturing and new energy, while continuously extending the industry chain.

This year, Shandong Province proposed to newly cultivate around 10 provincial-level emerging industrial clusters in fields such as next-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials, modern medicine, green environmental protection, new energy vehicles, safety and emergency equipment, commercial aerospace, and low-altitude economy.
