On April 9, it was learned from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province that the 2024 Shandong "Industrial Brains" have been officially unveiled. This year, the "Industrial Brains" focus on organizing pilot construction around key industries such as the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, and textile and clothing, and the unveiled industry segment list covers 49 industries in 11 categories.

It is reported that to apply for the "Industrial Brain," one must have a good industrial base, national-level or provincial-level characteristic industrial clusters, a high market share and a certain influence in the national industrial layout; it must possess strong innovation ability, with high concentration and well-established industrial chains; in principle, the output value of the previous year should reach 10 billion yuan, and conditions may be appropriately relaxed for those with significant industrial influence and strong competitiveness. At the same time, it should have a solid data foundation. Specifically, it should have been approved for the provincial-level industrial big data regional center and industry center or plan to construct data centers that meet the storage and computing requirements of the "industrial brain"; enterprises within the industrial cluster should have a relatively high digitalization level, possessing the conditions for data gathering, governance and circulation.
