On May 6, the plaque unveiling ceremony of SPG Automated Wharf Industrial Study Travel Base was held in Qingdao. It is the first study travel destination featuring automated wharf technology in a coastal port in China.

Notably, the base is far removed from a traditional study travel base. Through a combination of diverse presentation methods such as historical narratives, physical models, real-life scenarios, interactive installations, role-playing, task completion, multimedia interpretation, and study travel experience, it strives to convey the port culture and spirit in the new era and become a study travel experience and interaction destination integrating functions such as showcasing technological achievements and educational research.

Following its operation, the content of the SPG Industrial Study Travel (Qingdao) Base as a municipal study travel base has been further enriched. Besides, it will cooperate with the SPG multimedia exhibition hall, Qingdao Cruise Terminal, Qingdao Container Tribe and other study travel resources to develop more study travel projects and courses with marine and port characteristics. Meanwhile, it works to set an example for pursuing coordinated progress in advancing SPG's three efforts to build a world-class port cluster in Shandong, become a "double-first" class enterprise and make it more competitive and in bringing together enterprises, universities and research institutes.
