Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of strategic demonstration cities for the consumer goods industry in 2022 (increasing variety, improving quality, and fostering brands). A total of 39 cities nationwide were included. Binzhou was selected to the list by virtue of its textile and clothing industries, which fully demonstrated the results of the transformation and upgrading of Binzhou’s consumer goods industry, especially the textile and clothing industries.

Among Binzhou’s 453 existing consumer goods enterprises above designated size, there are 6 enterprises with revenue over RMB 10 billion, 1 Fortune Global 500 enterprise and 3 China’s top 500 enterprises. Binzhou has also been awarded the "leading zone of world-class home textile industry cluster", "national textile industry base city", "national textile industry cluster area with output value above RMB 100 billion", and other honorary titles.

Various textile industry clusters with distinctive features are accelerating expansion throughout Binzhou. Weiqiao Jiajia Home Textile, Derunjie (Shandong) textile was named the quality benchmark in Shandong Province. "Xiangshang Sport", "YUE BAST", and other clothing brands, along with "Let Sleep", "Loftex", "Jiajia", and other home textile brands gradually enhance their visibility, with a strong market influence and the advantages of international competitiveness.
