Recently, the Several Policies and Measures of Linyi City on Supporting the Development of the Laser Industry was released, to promote the fast development of the laser industry as a strategic emerging industry in Linyi City, build an industrial cluster with great influence in southern Shandong, and realize the high-quality development of the laser industry.

The document defines the development goals: Linyi will intensify efforts to introduce and develop projects covering the whole laser industrial chain, relying on the Laser Sci-Tech Industrial Park in the National Linyi Economic and Technological Development Area and the Yimeng Optics Valley Laser High-tech Industrial Park as platform carriers. As a result, it aims to introduce and develop at least 30 laser projects, bring in more than 10 billion yuan worth of operating revenue, and create a distinctive laser industry cluster by 2025.

There are 11 supporting measures for the establishment of industry associations, the founding of industrial funds, the introduction of excellent projects in the laser industry chain, the technological transformation projects of laser enterprises, cooperation and supporting facilities, the scale expansion of enterprises, increasing of R&D investment, the construction of public service platforms for enterprises, brand publicity and shaping, talent introduction and training, etc.
