Recently, a press conference on the 2023 Liaocheng Modern Agriculture High-quality Development and Investment Promotion Conference was held in Liaocheng. Next, Liaocheng will further intensify its efforts in investment and talent attraction for the agricultural sector, and expedite the implementation of key projects. The city will focus on three key areas to build itself into a modern and distinctive agricultural hub with Liaocheng characteristics at a faster pace.

First, enhance production stability and ensure food supply. Liaocheng is committed to assuming its responsibility for food security by stabilizing grain acreage and increasing yields. The goal is to expand the total area of the demonstration zone "with an annual output of over 1.5 tons per mu" to 1 million mu (about 66,667 hectares) by 2025. Second, strengthen the resilience of the industrial chain. Leveraging its advantageous agricultural and rural resources, Liaocheng will actively attract investment throughout the entire industrial chain. Close collaborations with leading agricultural enterprises and other industry pioneers will be fostered, with a focus on the prefabricated vegetable industry. This approach aims to drive growth in the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries and maximize the integration of these industries, ultimately seeking economic benefits. Third, prioritize the promotion of Liaocheng's brands to improve their market position. Proactive measures will be taken to nurture distinctive agricultural product brands, thus enabling more agricultural products to possess a significant market impact.
