On August 17, the 2023 Soybean Industry Annual Conference and the 7th China Soybean Industry International Summit Forum were held. At this conference, Yucheng, Shandong was awarded the honorary title of "Hometown of Soybean in China".

In recent years, Yucheng has shouldered the important responsibility of soybean revitalization and firmly shouldered the "three flags" of food security, famous food city and urban-rural integration. It has built a soybean industry demonstration base integrating planting, R&D, processing, transportation and sightseeing, taking the lead in undertaking the political responsibility of piloting the strip compound planting mode of soybean and corn. In 2023, the planting area of Yucheng reaches 141,000 mu, ranking first in Shandong Province. Yucheng has implemented the "123" project (one promotion system, two demonstration bases, and three platforms) for soybean industry revitalization and strived to create a 10-billion-yuan soybean industry cluster, so as to build itself into China's soybean industry capital.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs praised Yucheng for cultivating the "King of Soybeans in China" and requested to deeply explore Yucheng's typical experience and promote it nationwide. Next, Yucheng, Shandong will make every effort to expand and strengthen the soybean industry chain and build itself into a new hub for the development of China's soybean industry.
