Shandong is the largest exporter of food and agricultural products in China, ranking first for 24 consecutive years with an export value accounting for one fifth of the country's total.
In the first three quarters of this year, Jinan's exports of food and agricultural products to the Belt and Road countries performed well, with an export value of 3.85 billion yuan, up 16.4% year on year. In August, the Laiwu office of the Jinan Customs District P. R. China issued 15 measures to support the exports of food and agricultural products in Laiwu District. Included in these measures are implementing convenient customs clearance for the exports of food and agricultural products, expanding the customs coverage of AEO certification, supporting the construction of export bases, promoting brand internationalization, supporting enterprises to promote technological upgrading and transformation, and guiding enterprises to cope with foreign trade barriers.
Shandong will work to improve the quality and efficiency of deeply processed food and agricultural products, carry out the special action of "promoting the quality improvement and upgrading of food and agricultural exports," implement one-to-one technical guidance, and help food and agricultural export enterprises under its jurisdiction to develop new products with high additional value such as curry garlic granules and perilla sauce and export them to Vietnam, Malaysia, and other Belt and Road countries.
