The Information Office of the Yantai Municipal People's Government has recently held its first press conference of a series focusing on the "Rural Revitalization Model of Shandong: Yantai Practice". During the conference, it was revealed that in 2022, Yantai achieved a total output value and added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery amounting to 125.15 billion yuan and 70.63 billion yuan respectively, showing a year-on-year growth of 5.6% and 5.3%. Additionally, the per capita disposable income of rural residents reached 26,286 yuan, which was 18.8 percentage points higher than the average in Shandong Province. Furthermore, the first three quarters of this year saw a continuous improvement in the development of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery, with a year-on-year growth of 5.1%.

Currently, the value of the Yantai apple brand has reached 15.29 billion yuan, making it the top-ranked regional public fruit brand in China for 14 consecutive years. Yantai's broiler industry has been recognized as a strategically advantageous industrial cluster at a national level, while its prepared vegetable industry has been designated as a "goose formation" cluster of Shandong's top ten industries. To date, the city has established 24 large-scale deep-sea aquaculture facilities and 46 marine ranching demonstration areas above the provincial level, with 20 of them being national-level facilities. This accounts for approximately one-eighth of the country's total and positions Yantai as the leading prefecture-level city in China.
