Recently, the Information Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province held a series of press conferences on "Ecological Protection and High-quality Development in the Yellow River Basin", introducing the implementation of major national strategies along the Yellow River to build a "Qilu granary" and a green and efficient agricultural demonstration belt along the Yellow River.

The area along the Yellow River in Shandong is an important agricultural product production base. Shandong has strengthened the radiation and driving role of industrial development carriers, vigorously developed advantageous characteristic industries along the Yellow River, and successively created national advantageous characteristic industrial clusters such as wheat, soybeans and beef cattle along the Yellow River. The province has implemented the action of cultivating the whole agricultural industry chain and guided Laoling City to build a typical county in the whole national agricultural industry chain based on the corn industry. The brand construction of characteristic agricultural products along the Yellow River has been strengthened. A total of 42 regional public brands of well-known provincial agricultural products and 376 enterprise product brands have been cultivated, and geographical indication products such as hairy crabs in the Yellow River Estuary and Heze peonies are famous nationwide.

In the next step, Shandong will aim to build a "Qilu Granary" and a green and efficient agricultural demonstration belt along the Yellow River and strive to create a model for high-quality agricultural development in the Yellow River Basin with efficient output, safe products, resource conservation, environmental friendliness and deep integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
